Hello.
Today, I'm writing a review of a special cake. It's about the 'Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky Cake' released by Twosome Place. I became interested in it after seeing a press release about its release on the durumis blog and decided to try it.
The price made me hesitate at first. 45,000 won seemed expensive considering the size. Also, I don't usually eat a lot of rich foods, so I was worried I wouldn't even be able to finish half the cake. Luckily, they also released a petit version that's perfect for one or two people. So I chose the petit version to try. Thanks to a partnership card discount (20%), I was able to get it even cheaper.
However, the product itself isn't that cheap^^;;
Today's Tasting Review: Johnnie Walker Black Label Tiramisu Cake
- Price : 13,000 won
- Discounted Price : 10,400 won (20% discount with partnership card)
- Size : Small size, good for sharing between two people (typical small cake size)
- Special Note : There are cookies at the bottom of the cake. This seems to be to prevent the whisky from leaking out of the cake.

The packaging is differentiated from the usual Twosome Place packaging
The cake's packaging felt different from other Twosome Place products. The more luxurious and sophisticated packaging makes it perfect as a gift for special occasions.
The cake looks different from the official image released by Twosome Place, it seems to be a petit version
Since it's a petit cake, the shape is a bit different from the 45,000 won cake.
Cross-section of the cake
- Red Area : Covered in chocolate, I expected a whisky flavor, but the chocolate itself didn't have any whisky taste.
- Green Area : I could taste the whisky's aroma in this layer, which seemed like a soft white chocolate cream. This part was the most impressive.
- Blue Area : The typical tiramisu cake bread part, moist and sweet. It was delicious.
- Bottom : The bottom of the cake is finished with cookies, which added to the texture of the cake and seemed to complement the whisky.
Overall Impression
Overall, the whisky flavor isn't strong, so I'd recommend it to those who prefer a milder taste. The price is a bit high, but if you want a special experience, it's worth trying once.
