Shingane Red House Bone Soup Main Branch is easily found by exiting Hapjeong Station Exit 8 and turning left at the first alley. The exterior was clean and well-organized, and upon entering, I was greeted by a spacious and pleasant interior. The tables were well-spaced, allowing for comfortable dining, and there were quite a few solo diners. Please note that there is a break time from 4 PM to 5 PM on weekdays. Also, remember that they operate without a break time from Friday to Sunday!

The menu featured various types of bone soup, gamjatang (pork bone stew), and side dishes. Bone soup was ₩11,000, and the ugogi (dried radish greens) bone soup was ₩10,000; both large portions were ₩14,000. As I can't handle spice well, I ordered the level 0 bone soup, but I appreciated that they offer spice levels up to 4 for those who like it spicy. Reviews from other customers mentioned that the level 4 bone soup is incredibly spicy. Spicy soft tofu stew was also available for ₩10,000, and a mini gamjatang was ₩14,000. Gamjatang came in small (₩33,000), medium (₩40,000), and large (₩48,000) sizes. Side dishes included dumplings (₩5,000), steamed egg (₩4,000), and fried rice (₩3,000). Additional bones were ₩7,000, and extra ugogi was ₩3,000. Rice was ₩1,000 extra.

Finally, my level 0 bone soup arrived! The bone soup in the earthenware pot looked warm and inviting. Three large pieces of bone, generous portions of ugogi, green onions, and sesame seeds were piled on top. The broth, which they said was made by simmering beef bones for a long time, had an exquisite, rich, and deep flavor. Because they used pure chili pepper flakes instead of capsaicin, it had a clean yet spicy taste. The bone meat, apparently from the neck bone, was very tender, and the ugogi was also nicely cooked and easy to eat.

The best part of the bone soup was the adjustable spice level. I ordered level 0, which was perfect for me, but my friend, who loves spicy food, ordered level 4 and enjoyed it immensely. The bone meat was easy to remove, and the broth was amazing. It felt like I was having a nourishing tonic. The side dishes of radish kimchi and kimchi were also delicious; the radish kimchi, in particular, had a wonderful crunchy texture. I could have easily eaten a bowl of rice with just the radish kimchi!

According to other customers' reviews, the gamjatang is also delicious. The gamjatang broth is thick, the meat is large, and even a small portion is enough for two people. It's generously filled with ugogi, perilla leaves, enoki mushrooms, and potatoes, and adding ramen noodles at the end makes it fantastic. I definitely plan to try the gamjatang next time.

Shingane Red House Bone Soup Main Branch is a restaurant where you can enjoy various menus, including bone soup, gamjatang, and soft tofu stew. The broth, simmered for a long time with beef bones, was deep and rich, and I really appreciated the freshness and generous portions of all the ingredients. The owner and staff were also friendly, making for a comfortable dining experience.

Shingane Red House Bone Soup is great for solo diners and for enjoying a hearty meal with friends. If you're near Hapjeong and want a warm and satisfying bowl of soup, I highly recommend visiting! You won't regret it!
