Today, I tried the "Ddeulkkae Shabu Kalguksu Lunch Set" at "Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu". This place is popular for its fresh ingredients and rich broth. The Ddeulkkae Shabu Kalguksu set was a truly satisfying choice. The set menu consists of kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), beef, and fried rice, so you can eat your fill. It takes a while to eat though. Because you have to eat it step-by-step, it seems to take about 40 minutes.

Deulkkae Shabu Kalguksu Set Review at Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu

First of all, the broth, generously filled with sesame, was the epitome of richness. The broth was very rich and savory, whetting my appetite. I especially enjoyed the abundance of minari (water dropwort).

Thinly sliced beef is served with it, and when you lightly blanch this beef in the broth, it's very tender and flavorful. Fresh vegetables were piled high, making it a healthy meal. They don't give you a lot of meat, though.

The noodles of the Ddeulkkae Shabu Kalguksu were chewy and perfectly complemented the broth, and finally, the fried rice absorbed the rich flavor of the broth, allowing for a clean finish. Mixing the remaining broth into the fried rice left me feeling full and satisfied.
